A Bad Case of the Stripes

This project was done with Junior Campers in art! After reading the book, A Bad Case of the Stripes by David Shannon, we expressed our individuality. Using pre-made figure stencils, the students traced the figure and then depicted a different pattern on each part of the body with crayons. Each one different from the other! The kids didn't have to worry about being confined to the lines as we cut them out after they were completely colored! Cool, 1-Day project with emphasis one character building!
