Circle Drawing

I did this project with Junior campers at summer camp. It was a challenge with the little guys, but kindergarten and up, no problem!

The students were given crayons and colored pencils, and different items to trace circles with (we used Dixie cups, styrofoam bowls, and small souffle cups. We talked about overlapping and how doing so created new shapes. Each shape was colored a different color than the one touching it. Afterwards students could go over their circles with black marker!

This could be great on big paper for middle school or high school. Different shapes could be used... Students could choose an object like a pair of scissors or a glue bottle, trace it, and do the same thing.

Or even a great project to put in your sub folder!
